Tige Cardigan
"THIS BEAUTIFUL stitch pattern is composed of mixed panels with different elements including lace, twist stitches, and cables. I thought the panel combination could be most elegantly shown on a cropped jacket. I used a double-breasted silhouette and carried the smoother motif that resembles a cornstalk up into the large collar. The more complex and visually stimulating cable and twist stitch panel was placed in the center front and center back. Since the cornstalk type pattern repeats across the garment and is used as an all-over pattern for the collar, I named the jacket Tige. In French, tige de maïs means cornstalk."
